MATT 25 HOPE CENTER

The Volunteer Action Center wants to make it easier and more satifsying for local people to be active and take part in building a better future for themselves and their neighbors.

What is United Way? A local charity that is changing lives through grants and advocacy centered on EDUCATION, INCOME AND HEALTH.

When you give to United Way of Eastern New Mexico you are supporting local programs at the following agencies: Food Bank of ENM, Boy Scouts Conquistador Council, Girl Scouts of NM Trails, Clovis Meals  on Wheels, Portales Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, Oasis Children’s Advocacy,  The Hartley House, The Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries, Friends of Cannon Families, American Red Cross, Special Olympics, as well as 2-1-1 Info-Helpline, and more. Go to www.unitedwayenm.org to learn more.

Why LIVE UNITED? Because together we’re Advancing the COMMON GOOD through
EDUCATION, INCOME AND HEALTH

EDUCATION  -HELPING CHILDREN AND YOUTH ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL THROUGH EDUCATION

Because hungry children are not prepared to learn, United Way supports the Food for Kids Backpack program.

Because teens who are involved and who have a support network are more likely to succeed in school,

INCOME -HELPING FAMILIES BECOME FINANCIALLY STABLE AND INDEPENDENT

Because people in need can miss out on services that could help them, United Way offers      2-1-1 an easy to remember phone number to connect people to the help they need.

Because some families have  no heat in the winter, United Way's winter warmth program assists those referred  to have a warmer winter.

 HEALTH -IMPROVING PEOPLE’S HEALTH

Because not having enough diapers can create tension and emotional distress for parents and babies, United Way does an annual diaper drive to lend a hand to families in an emergency shortage of this item.
